You do not have to repeat an acceptable 8-Hour Driver Improvement course with Driver Training Solutions simply because you completed Part 1 through another Virginia school.
Driver Training Solutions can accept qualifying Virginia 8-hour Driver Improvement certificates from other schools for the 4-Hour RADEP Part 2 course. Your court, attorney, probation officer, or other referring authority must still accept that prior completion for your specific requirement.

Behavioral Driver Education
Part 2 focuses on the behavioral and decision-making issues associated with reckless and aggressive driving rather than simply repeating the defensive-driving material from the first eight hours.
Examine choices and patterns that increase roadway risk and can lead to serious consequences.
Understand how impatience, competition, hostility and escalation can affect driving behavior.
Identify emotional triggers and safer ways to respond to frustration and pressure behind the wheel.

Quality Counts
The 4-Hour RADEP Part 2 requirement establishes the amount of instructional time. It does not, by itself, explain how reckless and aggressive driving behavior is addressed during those four hours.
Driver Training Solutions uses the National Safety Council Attitudinal Dynamics of Driving methodology in its classroom RADEP Part 2 instruction. The behavioral component addresses attitudes, choices, stress, anger, emotional control, judgment, risk and the personal decision-making patterns that can contribute to reckless and aggressive driving.
When comparing classroom RADEP programs, consider more than the number of hours. Ask what behavioral methodology is being taught, what organization developed the material, how the instruction addresses driver attitudes and choices, and what experience supports the classroom program.

The live schedule controls the available city, date and class time. Students from Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Suffolk and surrounding Hampton Roads communities may attend an available Part 2 location that works for their schedule.

DMV Point Clarification
This four-hour classroom course is the supplemental Reckless & Aggressive Driver Education component. It is not itself an eight-hour Virginia DMV Driver Improvement Clinic.
Virginia DMV safe-driving-point rules apply to qualifying Driver Improvement Clinic attendance and depend on the official reason for attendance. The four-hour RADEP Part 2 course does not independently create a +5 safe-driving-point award.
If DMV points are important to you, make sure you understand the attendance reason and point treatment associated with your 8-Hour Driver Improvement component.
This regular RADEP Part 2 classroom course does not replace a commercial-driver-specific Driver Improvement Clinic when Virginia DMV requires a commercial driver clinic.
CDL holders who have a commercial Driver Improvement requirement should verify the specialized clinic required for their situation before registering.

This classroom experience matters because Part 2 is not simply a shortened Driver Improvement class. Its purpose is to address reckless and aggressive driving behavior, attitudes, emotional triggers and decision-making after the foundational Driver Improvement component has been completed.

Current classroom tuition for RADEP Part 2 is $100 cash only. Follow the final payment instructions in your registration confirmation.
Driver Training Solutions can accept qualifying Virginia 8-Hour Driver Improvement certificates from other schools. Confirm that the prior completion is acceptable for your specific court, attorney or referring requirement.
A future Part 2 date may be reserved through the classroom registration system, but the required first 8-hour Driver Improvement component must be completed before completing Part 2.
