This 12-hour Classroom Reckless Aggressive Driver

Education Program ( RADEP ) consists of two classroom / in-person sessions. The first session is a traditional 8-hour Virginia driver improvement program . The second session is a 4-hour Virginia Reckless Aggressive Driver Education Program ( RADEP )session focusing on reckless driving, aggressive driving, road rage and anger management. Many courts mandate persons assigned to this program to complete the classroom course and will not accept online courses, PERIOD!

Important Note:

This course IS intended for Virginia DMV credit and safe driving points.

You may be eligible to receive up to +5 safe driving points on your Virginia DMV driving record if ALL of the following apply:

• You are taking the course voluntarily.
• You currently have fewer than +5 safe driving points on your DMV record.
• You have not received safe driving points from another Virginia DMV Driver Improvement Clinic within the past 24 months.

If you meet these requirements, you may be eligible to have safe driving points added to your Virginia DMV driving record, up to a maximum balance of +5 points.

This two day 12-hour classroom RADEP course is also intended to meet a court requirement for the 12-Hour Reckless and Aggressive Driver Education Program (RADEP).

This 12 Hour Online Virginia Reckless Aggressive Driver Education Program ( RADEP ) is a 100% online 12-hour online  course.

IF YOU HAVE BEEN ORDERED BY THE COURT TO ATTEND A  12-HOUR RADEP PROGRAM, AND THAT COURT ACCEPTS ONLINE COURSES,  OPTION B FOR YOU.

Important Note:

This course is NOT intended for Virginia DMV credit and does not award +5 safe driving points. It is ONLY designed to meet a court requirement for the 12-Hour Reckless and Aggressive Driver Education Program (RADEP) or to provide proof of completion for court-related purposes. It is your responsibility to determine if your court requires in person / classroom courses , or if they accept online courses.

You should always check with your court prior to registering for a RADEP course to ensure they accept online courses to satisfy the RADEP requirement. Most courts do accept online courses, but there are a few courts who may require you to take an in-person course.

The 4-Hour Supplemental Online Reckless and Aggressive Driver Education Program (RADEP) is for drivers who have already completed an 8-Hour Driver Improvement Clinic but later learn that they must complete the full 12-hour RADEP course.

This 4-hour online class focuses on reckless and aggressive driving.

Students learn:

• Why drivers sometimes make unsafe or risky choices
• How emotions, stress, anger, and pressure can affect driving
• How to recognize unsafe driving habits
• How to make safer decisions behind the wheel
• How to reduce the risk of crashes

The course goes beyond simply reviewing traffic laws. It helps students understand why risky driving happens and what they can do to change those behaviors.

Students take part in short activities, discussions, and self-assessments. These activities help students think about their own driving habits and understand how repeated unsafe choices can begin to feel normal.

The course also teaches the difference between feeling safe and actually being safe.

Students learn how emotions

 habits, stress, and poor judgment can affect the decisions they make while driving. A major part of the course focuses on behavior and decision-making. Students learn how anger, stress, the need for control, peer pressure, and the desire for freedom can influence driving behavior.

By the end of the course, students should have a better understanding of their own driving choices and practical ways to become safer, calmer, and more responsible drivers.

IF YOU HAVE BEEN ORDERED BY THE COURT OR ADVISED BY AN ATTORNEY TO ATTEND A  12-HOUR RADEP PROGRAM, AND AND YOU HAVE ALREADY COMPLETED AN 8-HOUR DRIVER IMPROVEMENT COURSE AND NOW NEED THE 4-HOUR SUPPLAMENTAL RADEP COURSE TO COMPLETE THE 12 HOUR REQUIREMENT.
